"Networking is not a numbers game. The idea is not to see how many people you can meet: the idea is to compile a list of people you can count on."
~Harvey Mackay
Food for thought: How often at networking events have you joined in the mad exchange of business cards only to realize, back at your desk, that you can’t even recall the face behind the card? A business card is useless if a relationship has not been forged! Vow to only give your card to someone with whom you’ve established rapport. How does the quality of your connection change when you practice NOT offering your card until you know how you can serve the person you’ve just met?
Who in your network can you count on? Who can count on you?
